San Francisco Unified School District launches GoalView for Special Education Student Information Management

GoalView™ Specialized Student Information System -- Accountability for Special Education, Intervention RTI, Title 1 and Other Specialized Student Programs --

SANTA ROSA, CA -- Learning Tools International (LTI), a long time provider of specialized student information management systems, announced that San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) has completed training of over 500 staff to use GoalView, LTI’s web-based student information management system that is in use in many educational institutions throughout the U.S. to manage special education business processes.

Implementation of this system will help SFUSD streamline its special education administrative functions, thereby reducing costs and paperwork, increasing staff productivity, ensuring regulatory compliance, increasing the recovery of Medicaid reimbursable funds, and enabling 24-hour system accessibility while maintaining data security and integrity.

Developed by Learning Tools International, a Santa Rosa, Calif.-based firm, GoalView is a web-based student information management system for Special Education, Intervention (RTI), ELL and other educational programs that provide Individualized Education Plans, Progress Reporting and State and Federal Compliance Reporting to ensure accountability and improve achievement.

GoalView provides a simple, consistent way to plan and track student achievement, improve accountability, ensure compliance, facilitate communication and improve collaboration. Introduced in 1999, GoalView has since been implemented in over 100 school districts around the country to help achieve goals mandated by the No Child Left Behind Act, and the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA).

Learning Tools has customized the GoalView Special Education management system for SFUSD starting with the Referral through the IEP process.

“GoalView has a proven track record in helping educators and children stay on track as they work together to achieve their specialized program goals,” said Cathy Zier, President, Learning Tools International. “We feel confident that our attention to detail and customized efforts to help meet the needs of special children will result in a positive outcome.” “The SFUSD IT and Special Education teams have been a tremendously enthusiastic and a dedicated partner to work with on achieving these important goals.”
